This weeks homework is:

1. Reading for 20 minutes each evening.  Don’t forget to record what you have read in your diary.

Brain Buster # 1

There is a stairway with 100 steps.  On the first step there is a pigeon.  On the second step there are two pigeons.  On the third step there are three pigeons.  This pattern continues all the way to the last step.  How many pigeons?

Ms J’s Diary (17.8.07)

August 17, 2007

Hi Everyone,

It has been a long while since I have written in this diary.  I am glad everyone can now view what is in this blog.

Today has been really exciting.  I have been so proud of all the maths work you have done, and your multiplication skills have impressed me.  Especially when we worked out that 64 x 23 is the same as saying:  (64 x 3 ) + (64 X 20).  Does anyone know the answer to this problem?

During the weekend I am looking forward to using the new juicer that I received in the mail yesterday, playing with my cats and visiting my friends.  What will you be doing this weekend?
